Ndokwa Nation Sets to Build Ultra-Modern House Worth #1.2B, Says PG NNU

.... unfolds 3years of Group's Achievements in Office.

KWALE - As part of effort to towards the presentation of account of Stewardship for the past three years, which started in the mid 2016 till date, upon assumption of office by   the Leadership of Ndokwa Neku Union ( Onu Osa Ndokwa) led by its President-General, High Chief Johnson Opone (FCA) and the entire  Executives of the Union had at the General Assembly brief the entire Ndokwa People in Nigeria and diaspora on their Achievements, challenges and came out with various resolutions, Communique towards the overall development of Ndokwa Nation.

This event took place yesterday being on Boxing day, 26th December, 2019 at Kwale Township Stadium during the General Assembly Merits Award and Ndokwa House Fund Raising  towards the establishment of Ndokwa Ultra-modern House  One Billion and Two hundred Million Naira (#1.2B) for Cultural, and Socio-political and Economic growth and development of Ndokwa ethnic Nationalities of Delta State.

The event which had His Excellency Sen. Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa as the Special Guests of Honor, the President-General of Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU), High Chief Johnson Opone as the Chief Host, the Chief Host, Sen. Chief Patrick Osakwe as Chairman of the occasion, HRM Friday Abaja as the Royal Father of the Day, Chief Mrs Felicia Sani as Mother of the Day, the Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ochor Ochor, the Member Representing Ndokwa West in DTHA, Hon. Charles Emetulu, Commissioner for Trade and Investments, Hon. Chika Ossai, other important and critical stakeholders in Ndokwa Nation who received Award of Excellence, Honor based on their past and present records in different strata, sectors, segments -Security, Economy, Politics, Oil and Gas, Education, humanity, Science and Technology and others; which also of the humanitarian services and contributions to  Societal growth and development.

NNU PG, High Chief Johnson Opone who welcomed the entire Ndokwa People in Nigeria and Diaspora bemoaned the spate of infrastructural deficit in the ethnic Nationalities before the assumption of his Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) Executives Office, Stated that for the past four years the group as the general  mouth piece, umbrella body of Ndokwa ethnic Nationalities has made tremendous Achievements in the area of boosting Power or electricity supply,  establishment of Federal institution,  Bridge accross As Creek at Kwale, Road Projects, Health Care Projects, Agro Schemes, Modula refinery, Amnesty, Conflict resolutions, Flood Issue,  Political Awareness and Voters Education, Branch Activities, the position of Ndokwa ethnic Nationalities on the issue of Nigerian Restructuring, Kwale Industrial Park, which he said the group provided her Leadership Support without outside financial influence.

He then in a unanimous resolutions,  Communique reached by the entire people of Ndokwa ethnic Nationalities at the General Assembly in Kwale called all Ndokwa son's and daughters to Join hands with other Stakeholders to  make donations, financial commitments toward the actualization of the Ultra-modern House to be bequeathed on the entire Ndokwa Nation.

Basically, in the Communique it was unanimously agreed by the People of Ndokwa ethnic Nationalities  push for logistics towards the visit to presidency for President Buhari to assent to the Bill establishing Federal Polytechnic, Kwale, also that a budgetary provisions should be set aside by the Federal Government  towards the Construction of a 132/32 KVA transmission line from Okpai to Kwale.

The Leadership also used the medium to commend Delta State Government for awarding the contracts for the construction of Bridge Accross As Creek Kwale to link up Benekuku and Okpai Communities, and some of the Roads completed by Delta State Government in the area, also used the medium to call on the State Government to award some of the Roads in the area yet to be done.

In the area of health services, Agriculture,  and modular refineries, and Amnesty,  the Leadership therefore called on the Federal Government, both State Government and Host Communities ( Desopadec) to upgrade, provide equipment and medication to the General Hospitals in Kwale, Obiaruku, Ashaka, Utagba- Unor; and agreed that co-operative Societies would be formed in all the Ndokwa Communities for the sake of accessing Agro Schemes to boost Agriculture in the area; also that Ndokwa people will set up a modular refinery which called on Ndokwa People, DESOPADEC to use support towards the actualization the initiative through PPP Commercial operations with the oil and gas Companies in the area, added  that wider consultations from the Niger-Delta Ministry should be extended to  the Leadership of NNU before the approval of Amnesty beneficiaries in future; then commended some political Stakeholders in the area on the roles played towards conflicts mitigation and Management.

He then  called on Delta State Government to increase the derivation slots of Ndokwa ethnic Nationalities from 9 Percent to 14 Percent in DESOPADEC allocation to tally with the present realities of Ndokwa People producing over 110,000 barrels of crude oil daily, aring on the present increase of 55, 000 barrels increase daily.

The PG while appealing for the support of Stakeholders in Ndokwa Nation, the entire People of Ndokwa ethnic Nationalities, Niger-Delta Ministry, Niger-Delta Development Commission, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Federal Government and Oil Companies operating in the area  to use the funds, resources, allocation meant for Ndokwa People to render support to the group towards the Socio-economic development of Ndokwa ethnic Nationalities, then use the medium to called on the past Executives to return the property of Ndokwa people still in their possession.
