#1B Exports Development Fund: Delta to Sign MOU with NEXIM on Jobs Creation- DIDA Boss

...says Pre-qualification training for Exporters begins today

ASABA-As part of efforts to access the One Billion Naira NEXIM Funds meant to boost SMEs amongst eligible potential exporters, Investments development and  industrial Revolution in the State towards the accomplishment, or in line with the  stronger Delta Agenda mantra of prosperity for all Deltans,  the Chairman, Delta Investments Development Agency ( DIDA) and Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Investment Matters, Mr Paul Nmah has said that Delta State Government will sign an MOU with NEXIM Bank to creat jobs for the teaming Youths in the State.

Mr. Paul Nmah made this disclosure yesterday while reacting to  questions from some group of Journalists in Asaba on the expected impact or outcome of the just concluded South- South NEXIM/DIDA Exports/Investments Summit in State capital as hosted by Delta State Government.

Mr Paul Nmah told Journalists that on 30th of January, 2020 which is today that there will be a Pre-qualification training section for all eligible potential exporters in the State towards sustainable accessment of the one Billion Naira (#1B) NEXIM Bank Funds to boost SMEs, Exports,  Investments in the State for increased job creation and in accomplishment of Governor Okowa's stronger Delta Agenda mantra.

NEXIM is Nigerian Export- Import Bank established by Act 38 of 1991 as an export Credit Agency with a share capital of over #50B ( Billion Naira) to provide short and medium term loans to Nigerian exporters as a financial institution, guarantee for loans granted to exporters by Banks promote exports and SDGs by raising revenue to stimulate SMEs in the country as a catalyst in the financial markets and credit insurance against political and commercial risks in the events of Non- payment by foreign buyers towards revamping of the Nation's oil sector and job creation amongst Citizenry.

According to the Governor's aide the essence of the just concluded South- South NEXIM Investments Summit as hosted by Delta State Government through the Agency is to serve as forum of creating awareness of existing support to encourage potential exporters  and importers in the  South South, which he said DIDA Agency serves as an intermediary between NEXIM and Exporters.

In his Words: " NEXIM  is export and imports Bank. The purpose of the Forum is to create awareness of existing Support to encourage Exporters and importers. DIDA as an Investments Agency is an intermediary between NEXIM and Exporters. On 30th January will be training section and pre-qualification for eligible Exporters towards the #1B Naira Funding. DIDA is to mobilize and pre-qualify potential exporters and submit to NEXIM for finding".
