ASABA-As part of efforts to promote Industrial Revolution in the 21st Century, encourage youths participation in vocational and technical Education towards the growth and development of the economy as well as ensuring viable Support to Delta State Government  Commitment on Youths skill acquisition, development and empowerment  by the Private sector, Lead Brigitta Global-Skill Acquisition Centre has continued to set the pace since 2008.

The 6th graduation  ceremony of 5 Student Entrepreneurs from the Department of Fashion and Designing of the skill acquisition section after successful completion of the training program in the Institute after one year and six months was made known to our reporter yesterday at the Premises of the Corporate Office of Lead Brigitta Global-Skill Acquisition Centre, ICWECD, Asaba, Delta State capital.


In a speech presented by the Executive Director, International Centre For Women Empowerment And Child Development (ICWECD), Barr. Julian Ogwulu who stated that the Skill Acquisition Centre which was adjudged to be one of the oldest in Delta state, established since February 2008 by running training programs and providing services in the areas of Catering, Fashion Design, Bead and Hat -making, and Hair- dressing to mention but a few for both Youths and Women in the State.


In her words: "I am delighted to welcome you all to the graduation ceremony of the fashion design section of the Skill Acquisition Centre. It is an enormous satisfying feeling to see yet another batch of trainees passing out of the Centre after successfully completing their training".


" The visionary product of our founder, who is now the Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor, On Special Duties, Barr. Bridget Anyafulu, the Skill Acquisition Centre was established principally as a poverty alleviation initiative to give indigent Persons, especially unemployed Women and girls the means to earn a living".


" Let me therefore State that Lead Brigitta Global Skill Acquisition Centre will remain Committed to the founding principles and objectives. The centre will not relent on its efforts to achieve its objectives. I welcome you all to this sixth graduation ceremony of the Fashion Design Department of Lead Brigitta Global Skill Acquisition Centre".


"The Journey has not been easy but am happy and proud to  state that over three thousand unemployed youths and Widows have benefitted from the training program of the Centre. Many of the graduands of the Centre have moved on to their own Workshops and are doing well in their various vocations".


Our reporter who was an eye witness to the event interviewed Some of the guests who graced the occasion, whose names were: Mr Best, Mrs J. I. Chukwuma, and some other stakeholders who reacted by thanking God on the success of the graduands and advised them on the tenets of good quality Entrepreneurship development for greater accomplishment in their chosen career.


The media gathered that the 5 Students Entrepreneurs Produced as graduates of fashion Design, who were in that ceremony were issued  Certificates by  the Founder of Lead Brigitta Global-Skill Acquisition Centre, who doubled as the Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Special Duties, Barr. Bridget Anyafulu stated that the training program major objectives is to alleviate poverty,  then tasked them on the need to take their Education Very seriously, she added that the Organization is in Partnership with NABTEB, which gives the Graduates the edge to work anywhere in the World.


 To this end,  The HOD Skill Acquisition Centre of Lead Brigitta Global,  Mr Ifeanyi Anyafulu Jude prayed for their good outing, success and excellent performances of the 5 graduands of Fashion Design Department as they have graduated go to the World to explore.


The graduands  whose names were given as: Bro Lucky Akuchi, Sis Chidiema Nnamani, Sis Ozioma Loveth Solomon, Bro Amachi Awor, Sister Ijeoma Jacinta  who told our reporte that they were very glad to have  witnessed the ground breaking ceremony  thanked  the HOD on his personal Support to them  and the entire management of the  Institute for their support towards self-discovery, self-employment,  self-reliance and entrepreneurship development.
