Adigwe, Odimegwu, Izuka Congratulates PDP Ward 9 Isheagu Exco, Urges For Inclusive Leadership.

ISHEAGU- The leader of Ward 9 and Pioneer Member of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Joe Adigwe has charged the Executive of Ward 9 to brace up with their responsibility of all inclusive leadership in piloting the affairs of  Ward 9.

Hon Joe Adigwe who also was the first member of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro made this declaration at Isheagu, stating that ward 9 which comprises of Ewulu and Isheagu communities had been known for their peaceful dispositions and mass support for PDP during elections in the State.

He said he was overwhelmed by the large turn out during the inaugural meetings, noting that the choice of Mr Maxwell Unosha was generally accepted by the Ward 9 people, thereby appealing to all members of the Ward to support the leadership of Unosha and contribute their  quotas to the success of his administration.

He also called on the Executive members elected with Samuel to bring their wealth of experiences to bear in ensuring that ward 9 still maintains its epicentre in Nsukwa clan and Aniocha South in general.

Hon Adigwe admonished all present and past councillors of Ward 9 present at the meeting to support their Executive through advice, and appealled to all those that were given appointments in Okowa's administration in ward 9 to help with regular calling of meetings.

In the same vein, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Women Development, Mrs Christy Odimegwu appealled to the members of PDP ward 9 to support the Executive and shun all forms of pull him down syndrome, noting that Okowa's administration was committed to the well-being of the people of Ewulu and Isheagu in terms of infrastructural development.

She appealed to all and sundry to always propagate the good news of this present administration, enumerating that since the inception of democracy the ward had not found it juicy in terms of appointments and other dividends of democracy, but affirmed that things changed with this Government.

She particularly admonished the liason officers in Ward 9 to be good Ambassadors of this present administration by constantly reporting to their learlders issues bordering on the ward and also publicize good work of Okowa's administration.

As part of his contributions, Hon Izuka Odimegwu equally congratulated the elected Executives of Ward 9 and charged them to run all inclusive and transparent leadership; appealing to Mr. Maxwell Unosha to ensure that Ewulu axis of the Party was  carried along in the scheme of things.

He promised to bring on board his wealth of experience in helping to build a better PDP in the ward.

He also thanked the leaders, eulogizing the leadership quality of Hon Joe Adigwe and urged him to continue to lead the PDP ward 9 and the entire Nsukwa Clan with his goodness and transparency, noting that he had proven to be a detribalised politician, who was ever ready to lead his people to the promised land.

The high point of the meeting was the official hand over of leadership of the party from the immediate past Chairman of Ward 9, Dr. Chukwuma Nwaokolo, who had been elevated to Aniocha South Vice Chairman to Mr Maxwell Unosha with a promise to stand solidly behind him.

The outgone Chairman advised his successor to surpass his  achievements and called on his Exco members to support him in achieving a better ward 9, as usual in Nsukwa clan.

Dr. Chukwuma used the opportunity to thank all and sundry, especially Hon Joe Adigwe, Hon Jerry Ossai, and Hon Christy Odimegwu, and present and past councillors of Ward 9 for the massive support given to him for four years term as Chairman of Ward 9.

In a brief acceptance speech by the newly inaugurated chairman of Ward 9, Mr Maxwell Unosha thanked God for the election, and especially thanked Hon. Joe Adigwe for his fatherly role played. He promised all members of Ward 9 that he would run an all inclusive leadership, adding that he was impressed with calls and advice that he had so far received.

He promised that he would not fail the ward, while also appealing for the support of all officers in the ward, present and past councillors, for their support to see that he succeeds in his leadership.

He said that he was ready  to receive any criticism if need be and it would help him make amends.

He however, called on those leaders opposing his emegence to support in piloting the affairs of Ward 9, promising to reach out to all aggrieved members of the Ward to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The newly inaugurated Exco of Ward 9 is led by the Chairman, Mr. Maxwell Unosha, Vice Chairman, Mrs. Bethel Chiadiji and others holding various elective positions.
