WARRI-DELTA STATE- As the country marks another milestone in the history of labour, the National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, Comrade (Chief)
Sheriff Mulade has commended Nigerian workers for their contributions and dedication to nation building.
CEPEJ Boss disclosed this in a press Statement issued from his Corporate Office in Warri, Delta State which was made available to Newsmen gave the commendation today being on Friday May 1st, 2020 to mark this year's May Day.
The while Commending Nigerian workers for their hard work and dedication to duty, stated that they helped to curb the spread of the deadly COVID-19 now ravaging the world.
The World Distinguished Activist also appreciated the workers for their tireless efforts in the public and private sectors, especially those in the health sector for putting their lives on the line to save others from the deadly virus COVID-19, referring to them as the Country’s Heroes of the Moment.
He particularly commended medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, ambulance drivers, NCDC volunteers, auxiliary staff, cleaners, those working in isolation centers, care givers, general hospital personnel and all other workers who put their lives at risk to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in the Country.
In the words of the Environmentalist and Human Rights Activist: "I charge all Nigerians to support the Federal and State Governments, as well as NCDC directives on lockdown".
"Also that they should maintain at all times personal and environmental hygeine, social distancing and the compulsory wearing of face masks, as the best ways to further contain the spread of COVID-19".
