Major General Orho Obada's Death: Chief Ogheneovo Edewor Commiserates With Family

...As Founder/Chairman of  Chief Ovo Edewor Foundation, Edjenekpo of EKU Kingdom, Says General Orho Obada was a rallying point in the Unity of Urhobo Nation.

The Board of Trustees, And All Members of the foundation mourns a foremost son of the Urhobo Nation,
Major-General Orho Esio Obada, (JSSC, OON, OFR).

Chief Edewor made this disclosure in a press statement made available to Newsmen in his office at Warri, Delta State through his  Executive Assistance on  Media and Publicity, Comrade Great Poyo.

Chief Ogheneovo Edewor described Pa Obada as a father, a mentor, a rallying point and a source of unity to all sons and daughters of the Urhobo Nation all over the globe.

In his words: "Major-General Orho Obada.
A former Federal Commissioner for Works who also served as the Commissioner representing Delta State in the Federal Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission in 2006".

"He was Born on 4th  of April, 1939 in Ikwewhu, Agbarho kingdom in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State,
Retired from active service from the Nigeria Army in 1977".

"Among other military formations, he once served as the General Officer Commanding ( GOC) 82 Division , Enugu".

"A distinguished old student of Hussey College , Warri {1958}, From where he moved to the Regular Officer Training School, Teshie, Ghana, And subsequently to the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, England at the beginning of his military career".

"Until his death,
He was the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the apex socio -cultural umbrella body of the Urhobo Nation, Urhobo Progress Union".

"Major-General Orho Obada is a force very needed at these times to unite the factions in the UPU, and to foster on the way forward for Urhobo, Delta State, and Nigeria at large".

"Major-General Orho Obada will be deeply missed. We at Ovo Edewor Foundation express our heartfelt condolence to his immediate family, the Agbarho kingdom, and the Urhobo Nation in general", the Philanthropist added.
