Delta @29: Okowa's SA Applauds Community Development Across The Three Senatorial Districts.

The Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on Community Development Hon. Japhet Ikorikpo has described the development strides of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as monumental.

The Special Assistant made this declaration when reacting to newsmen on some of the achievements of this administration as the state is marking its twenty-nine (29) years of creation. He noted that Okowa’s emergence as the Governor of Delta State has created a major transformation of the three senatorial district to modern cities and towns.

Hon. Japhet Ikorokpo who also said the Government was a continuous process said that most of the major projects of the past administration of Chief James Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan were completed. He enumerated some of these projects as but not limited to the following: the Stephen Keshi stadium Asaba, the upgrading of Asaba International Airport to accommodate bigger planes to meet with international standards and completion of community roads across the three senatorial district which have earned him the accolade “Road Master”.

According to the Special Assistant, the completion of the ultramodern state secretariat at Asaba and the ongoing construction of Uvwie-Warri dredge system will go a long way in addressing the perennial flooding that characterized Asaba and Warri environs.

Hon. Ikorikpo used this celebration of the 29 years of Delta State to appeal to youths in the state to key into the Youth Entrepreneur Skills (YAPEP) and STEP to reduce the incessant cases of cultism which in recent times have claimed lives of many youths across the state.

He appealed to communities across Delta State to continue to sustain the relative peace in their domain as that is the only way to achieve the stronger Delta mantra of this administration.
