Gender Equality: Governor Okowa's Aide On Exports Promotion Initiative, Chief Mrs Shimite Bello Collaborates With Delta AWLO Leadership On Mentorship

Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, On Exports Promotion Initiative, Chief Mrs Shimite Bello has said that her office will partner the Members of African Women In Leadership Organization (AWLO) towards its advocacy on gender equality, mainstreaming, women development, Economic Empowerment and Mentorship for Socio-economic Development of women folds and Sustainable development of Delta State.
Mrs Shimite Bello stated this when Delta AWLO pledges partnership with her office on vital UN SDGs led by the Delta Women and Youth Wing Coordinators, African Women In Leadership Organization (AWLO) who were on a courtesy call yesterday being 20th of August, 2020.

Chief Mrs Shimite Bello thanked the Delta State chapter Leadership of AWLO for the advocacy visit and the vital roles the group is playing in the state, Nigeria, Africa and globally towards the domestication of gender equality and Support towards the Promotion of economic development, and empowerment of Women folds and Promised to Collaborate with the group for Sustainable Socio-economic development in the state.

Our reporter learnt that the Executive Leaders of AWLO, Delta State jointly led by the President any represented by the Vice President, Women wing, and Youths Wing Coordinator, the duo of Mrs Tonia Benjamin, and Ambassador Vida Modelo, while on stakeholders visit in Delta State to promote global partnership towards sustainable development.

AWLO, Delta State chapter said: "Women are not meant for the kitchen or bedroom alone, we can be responsible, respectful, good wives, caring mothers, home maker, supportive, Powerful and Great Leaders of Substance, Impact and Worth".

" AWLO envisions a continent in which women take their rightful place as home and nation builders with equal opportunities and equal access in all areas of existence, the organisation works with African nations and Global partners", United Nations".
