....As Launch Planning Committee Chairman, Mr. Nally Akalaka Says Platform Will Be Launched, And Give Awards in December

The Chairman of the Launch planning Committee, Mr. Nally Akalaka has said that the
the management of Erec Communications Limited (ECL), publishers of Ubulu Ezemu Community online platform
is set to officially launch the platform with a view to making it a global brand after nine years of robust grassroot journalism.

Speaking with journalists recently Mr. Nally Akalaka said the event will take place in December, this year.

Ubulu Ezemu, Nigeria's premier community online platform was berthed in 2011 with the aim of elevating grassroot and community reportage as well as provoking development through the use of social media.

No doubt, the Launching is coming at a time the Anioma communities need accurate information dissemination most, following the advent of the new media, Ubulu Ezemu is committed to repositioning things through innovative support that will accelerate proper and accurate information dissemination throughout Anioma and beyond.

According to him, the firm has now developed a platform that will serve as a rallying point for the community ecosystem in Anioma and Delta State in general, through the provision of timely and useful information.

He said: "The launch encompasses unveiling of the website to the public, is coming, after years of robust grassroot reportage which cut across community development, education, entertainment, sports, culture and tradition, business, security and others".

"Already, a five-man planning committee has been set up for a hitch free launch ceremony scheduled to take place at Ubulu Uku in December. It is headed by Nally Akalaka".

The Chairman among other things, disclosed to journalists that the launch is part of the rebranding process and upgrade of the publishing platform, adding that it will provide an avenue for unveiling of the website and also award deserving personalities within Ubulu-Uku community, Delta State and beyond.

Mr Nally stated further that those who have done well and distinguished themselves in the areas of leadership, sports, health, agriculture, politics, community development, culture and traditions, music and entertainment, education, business, peace initiatives amongst others, will be given different categories of awards.

In his words: "We are planning seriously for a big launch. The platform has been serving Ubulu communities, Delta State and even beyond the shores of the country since 2011. What started like a child's play is now making waves at the global stage. The launch delay for almost a decade was deliberate as the publisher needed time for the platform to gather steam,which we have now achieved."

"Ubulu Ezemu is the leading community online platform in the country", emphasizing that the upgrade of the platform will enable it serve the public better.

"I have no doubt that with the upgrade, the platform will surely serve the public better. The publisher is a trained journalist with multiple awards to his kitty. Beyond journalism, he is also versed in African traditions and culture, having trained in that field, at the University of Lagos, in Nigeria. ".

"The nine-year period of robust grassroots publication has given the publisher adequate knowledge and the required information to assess the awardees, hence the need for the Leadership Awards which shall be announced soon".
