SDGs: Foundation Sets To Distribute Sickle Cell Drugs, Antibiotics To Sick Children In Delta Communities.

A World Distinguished Philantropist, and the Chairman/CEO of Bemys Mercy Foundation, Chief Mrs Mercy Eguriase Sule has said she has acquired some Sickle Cell Drugs, Antibiotics abroad in dozens of cartons to which she said will be ready for distribution in Delta Communities in a matter of some days to come to support the efforts of Delta State Government in the promotion of good health care for Deltans as one of the UN 17 Substainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Community Development expert cum Politician spoke to our reporter today as the Foundation brief the media Organizations in Nigeria on some of her achievements and support to humanity towards the Promotion of SDGs for societal Development.
Recently, the Foundation set up "Food Bank" in one of the Communities in Delta State at OVU, also distributed palliatives to Communities in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State as part her efforts to cushion the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Chief Mrs Mercy, a Former 2019 Delta State House of Assembly Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the recent general elections in Delta State while Commending the good Job, health care development achievements of Her Excellency, the Wife of the Governor, Dame Edith Okowa for being a solution to Sickle Cell aenamia, disease stated that she has acquired drugs, Antibiotics abroad to be distributed in some days to come to Sickle Cell victims in Delta Communities.

She noted that the antibiotics: That is , Calven Power and Tabs folic Acid Tables 5mg, Fortni Smoothie Summer fruits 200ml, Colecalciferol Vitamin D, Brufen Paediatric 100mg; that the drugs are in two different sets, that the first set is for the children between the ages of 1-10yrs, which she said will prevent them from having crisis, while the second sets of the drugs, Antibiotics is for children between the ages of 10-18/20yrs, which she said will give them iron and make their immune system strong hence they are victims of low immune system.
The Diaspora Ambassador, Chief Mrs Mercy Eguriase Sule's stated further that she has reliable and trusted hands at the grassroots working in line with her instructions in different communities of Ethiope East, Delta Central Senatorial Districts, Delta State and Nigeria in general that are working with her towards ensuring equitable distribution of the items to the concerned sick, Vulnerable, Less-privileged persons.
Chief Mrs Mercy had many awards of excellence for her development works globally from different countries such as UK, USA, France, Malasia, France to mention but a few, she added that her Foundation achievements are very numerous to mention as she had supported and will continue to support vulnerable and sick Persons who are Deltans, Nigerians and globally- the disabled Community victims, Leprosy victims Community, Sickle Cell Victims Community and the Less-privileged Community towards the fulfilment of the global Sustainable Development Goals.
In her words: “ Sickle Cell is my passion. I have one my family. Now that I' m Still breathing, it is my passion for my Foundation to distribute drugs, antibiotics to support the Delta State health care development efforts. The Antibiotics will help sickle cell children. It will prevent crisis in them and also help to build their immune system hence theirs is low".

"I still have some Leprosy Children in the Leprosy Village I still take care of. Every six months I do celebrate with disabled Association in Warri. I give them Educational materials, feeding, Toiletries, clothings and others. I train Children. I do have some children I awarded scholarships and other coded supports I give to the vulnerable, Less-privileged Deltans, Nigerians and globally".

"Apart from Ethiope East Communities, Isiokolo, Sapele, Warri, and others will benefit from this Antibiotics, drugs distribution. And some other things to come as part of palliatives. Though I did same recently by distributing palliatives in form of food items on 23rd July, 2020. Infact the gestures is going to be endless".

"Sometime last year I had a Complainants that the Police Station at Isiokolo in Ethiope East was in bad shape as the roofs were reported to be leaking and some other areas, parts of the buildings in dilapidated shape. I gave life to the police station. I informed the officers and builders to get me the quotations of which I renovated, painted and replaced the roofs. I heard that,
It was reported to the Delta State Police Command by the Divisinal Command officers and they Commended gestures".
