The Leadership of Voice of Aniocha/Oshimili People (VAOP) has commiserated with the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa over the demise of his father, Chief Sir Arthur Okorie Okowa at the early hours of Thursday, 28th January, 2021 as the group stated that a good man like Okowa's father deserves a good place in heaven.

In a press Statement made available to newsmen today in Asaba by the group's National President, Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike stated that VAOP leadership expresses to hear that Governor Okowa's demise.

VAOP leadership described Governor Okowa's father as a father to all Deltans, a great father, great teacher, administrator, and teacher of teachers, while sending their heartfelt condolences to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Family.

VAOP Press Statement reads in parts: "His Excellency Sir, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa,  please accept our sincerest condolences on the demise of your father. The ones we love are never gone ; they live within our hearts. We were saddened to hear that your father passed away at the early hours of today being thursday 28th January, 2021.

"VAOP leadership will greatly miss his fatherly advice, wise counsels to support to Anioma Nation, Deltans and Nigeria in general. Indeed he was a great mentor, motivator and epitome of development. May his soul rest in perfect peace! His Excellency, May God's peace and love lift you from sorrow. And may Our prayers bring you comfort and ease the pain of this loss. Our deepest sympathies for your loss".
