CONGRESS: Delta NYCN Boss Emerges Chairman, South-South Caucus

.....As Taribo Emerges Secretary, South-South Caucus, ...Sworn In 

Comrade Kenneth Okorie has emerged the Chairman of South-South zone of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).

Before elected as the Chairman of the zone, Okorie was the Chairman of Delta state chapter of NYCN.

NYCN Chairmen across the six states in the zone, on Monday converged on Kula, Akuku Toru Local Government of Rivers State and elected Comrade Okorie as the Chairman of Chairmen in the Zone in line with council 2018 Constitution, as amended.

The Forum election, which was presided over by NYCN Vice President South-South, immediate past Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Innocent Ajayi, had in attendance NYCN Chairman of Rivers, Edo, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers and Delta State.

In an un-opposed contest, Comrade Okorie was nominated by NYCN Chairman of Cross Rivers State Chapter, Comrade Ndiyo Ndiyo and seconded by NYCN Chairman of Bayelsa State Chapter, Comrade Taribo Spiff.

Vice President of South-South declared Comrade Okorie, Comrade Taribo Spiff Chairman and Secretary of NYCN South South caucus.

Addressing NYCN Chairmen and leaders from the zone, NYCN Vice President South-South, Comrade Ajayi, called on the South-South Youths to come together for peace and development of the zone.

He said: "As Youth leaders in our states and zone, we have a lot to do for our people. Let us work collectively in the interest of South - South Youths, for peace and development of the zone and Nigeria at large."

In his remarks, the newly elected Chairman of Chairmen, South South Zone, Comrade Okorie said, "I thank you all for your support, I will try my best and ensure that we give the forum the necessary leadership it deserves. I assure you all that we will not betray the trust bestowed on us."

Meanwhile the elected NYCN executives of Rivers State Chapter we're sworn in as leaders of the council for 4 years.

Barr. Ibisaki-emi Leroy, who sworn-in the executive, urged them to abide by the oath they took and ensure they keep the constitution of NYCN.
