#Post-EndSars:Delta NOA Urges Youths To Participate In National Development.

National Orientation Agency (NOA), Delta State Chapter led by its Ag. State Director, Mr Chris Anyabuine today embarked on one day Sensitization Workshops for Youths in the state as part of efforts to sensitize the Youths towards contributing to National development and to cushion the effects of the aftermath of the EndSARS protests in Nigeria.
The media learnt this today in Asaba, Delta State capital during a one day National Youth Summit held on Wednesday 28 April, 2021 at the conference Hall, Federal Secretariat Complex, Asaba being on the theme: "Youth Participation in National Development".

According to the Ag. Delta State Director, Directorate of National Orientation Agency NOA, Mr Chris Anyabuine, who presented a speech, spoke on behalf of the Director-General NOA, Dr. Garba Abari, the objectives of the Workshop included amongst others: "To provide the platform for youth engagement and implementation of social investment programs. To positively change the attitude, behaviours of the Youths towards socio-economic development".

The Youth submit organized in Asaba was attended by opinion moulders, stakeholders in Delta State which included members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, Anioma Youth Forum, AYF,  Asaba Youth Council, Leaders of Voluntary Youth Organizations, Representatives of Delta State Government, all Federal agencies in state; Nigerian Police Force, NPF, CBN, NSP, NDE, MFB, NIRSAL, BOA, BOI, NYSC, Delta State agencies, Ministries; Job Creation Office, Delta State Ministry  Youth Development, Delta State Ministry of Trade And Investments, Inclusively Delta State Civil Society Community, leadership of  Oshimili South LGA Government Council and many others to mention but a few.

To this end, during the program, different Federal, State Agencies and Local Government shared to the Youths some of the available opportunities they can harness for their growth and development as part of the Institutions constitutional roles to the citizens, most importantly the Youths and women.

The Youths who spoke during the interactive sessions advised both Federal Government and Delta State Government to establish industries and Strengthen the private sectors to reduce Youths unemployment, while the Youth leaders also faulted some of the policies and programs of Governments and enjoined Federal and State Government agencies to restructure some of their bureaucratic proceedures so as to enable young people access some Government emporwerment programs.

The Stakeholders at the end of the Youth Summit came out with a Communique to ensure good governance, proper Youths inclusion in decision making processes, inclusion in the policies and programs of the Governments, gainful employment, empowerment and development of Youths in Local Governments, Delta State, and Nigeria in general to curtail the high rate of insecurity, unemployment and poverty.
