The National Executive Committee, Medical Women's Association of Nigeria (MWAN) led by the National President, Dr. Minnie Oseji has been commended for her group's exploits, and her achievements in office to had promoted the growth and development of the health care delivery system in Nigeria as she receive Royal Blessings from the Asagba of Asaba, HRM, Obi Prof. Chike Edozien, one of Nigeria's first Monarchs and oldest Professors in the Medical profession as group sets for a new leadership in Oyo State, Ibadan this September, 2021
The media learnt this today being 9 September, 2021 in Asaba, Delta State capital as MWAN National leadership led by its National President, Dr. Mrs Minnie Oseji paid a courtesy visit to the His Royal Majesty, the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof. Chike Edozien in his Asaba Royal palace as group join the entire globe, Nigerians, Deltans, Asaba indigenes, other medical professionals to celebrate his 97th Birthday Anniversary, presents gifts, group's publications to the globally celebrated Monarch.
Dr. Mrs Minnie Oseji visited the Asagba of Asaba alongside the MWAN National Executive Committee, her Team which included amongst other were: Dr. Bobola Agbonle, who is currently MWAN National Coordinator, Dr. Uche Okwe, who is currently MWAN National Assistant Secretary, Dr. Patience Omashor, who is currently MWAN Asaba Zonal Coordinator, Dr. Maduemezia (Past MWAN Delta Secretary), and Dr. Adigwu, who is currently MWAN Asaba Zone Member.
During the visit to the highly revered Monarch in Nigeria, Delta State, The Asagba of Asaba received the team very warmly and enquired about what the association is doing to contribute and improve maximally the health care delivery in the country, which all the enquiries, burning questions as advanced by His Royal Majesty were adequately addressed by the National President of MWAN, Dr. Mrs Minnie Oseji.
Speaking in that visit, a member of MWAN National Executive Committee team, Chief Dr. Francis Edozien, former Director of Hospital Services, Federal Ministry of Health gave some insights to the root causes of conflict in the health sector, which he traced, and attributed to faulty implementation of the Medical Salary Scale by employers.
MWAN National President, Dr. Mrs Minnie Oseji presented some MWAN's gifts to the Monarch, Asagba of Asaba, HRM, Obi Prof Chike Edozien which included amongst others: Decorated Sash for Male Champions, a customised 97th birthday card, drinks, cash and MWAN's publications.

The Asagba of Asaba, HRM Obi Prof Chike Edozien while commending MWAN National Executive Committee led by its National President, Dr. Mrs Minnie Oseji for the visit, kind gestures, gifts and great honor done to him, then gave his Royal blessings to the National President of MWAN and her team as they prepare to travel to Ibadan, Oyo State capital to attend the 22nd Biennial Conference and handover to a new MWAN National Executive.
